Marketing Skills v2 feeding SEO, CRO, content, paid media, growth and GTM workflows across AI coding agents.

01

Provide business context first

Write a brief with the service, audience, region, buying questions, real differentiators and proof available. Specify what the business cannot claim. A library cannot supply that missing context reliably.

The Marketing Skills repository provides instructions for agent workflows. Its current README identifies product-marketing as a foundation. Follow the current repository structure rather than assuming historical v2 folder names are still authoritative.

02

Install only the skills you will use

Read the repository and installation instructions for your supported agent. Review the selected skill files and dependencies before running an installer. Use the documented CLI or manual installation path for that environment.

Begin with one relevant task, such as a service-page critique or conversion review. Keep access limited to the project and accounts needed. Do not treat installing a skill as authorisation to publish, message customers or change analytics.

03

Migrate an older installation carefully

Inventory the installed skill names and local customisations. Compare them with the current repository. Back up the existing files, update the required skills and reconcile renamed or split workflows using the current documentation.

Test the new workflow on a draft. Preserve useful business context and remove duplicate instructions that produce contradictory outputs. A migration is complete when the task works with the project’s review and publishing process, not merely when files were copied.

04

Review recommendations against the website

Ask the agent to identify the page, the evidence behind the recommendation and the customer decision it improves. Reject fabricated testimonials, generic urgency and unsupported revenue projections.

Turn accepted recommendations into specific changes with acceptance criteria. For example, make the agreed service scope visible and test a contact action. Keep one accountable canonical URL for an intent instead of generating near-duplicate articles.

05

Measure the business purpose

Record the change and inspect the production page. Use search queries and qualified enquiry evidence to decide whether the page reaches the right readers. Separate employee tests from customer behaviour.

A reusable skill can improve consistency and speed. It does not guarantee rankings, better conversion or a complete strategy. Retain human judgement for the offer, proof, prices and permission to publish.
